It is an easy tense to learn. The trick is to MEMORIZE the stems as soon as possible. Then, while some students are struggling along trying to say, "I will go to my grandma's house", you'll be secretly thinking, "Hé hé hé! J’irai chez ma grand-mère!" And you can focus your energies on memorizing the new vocabulary and applying it sans problème.
